After reading countless self-help books in an attempt to better myself and my relationships with others, I found that while reading the books may have made me feel great it was actually overwhelming in the sense that I felt like I had all this stuff I needed to do. The self help books actually ended up annoying me more than they helped because of how impractical the advice was. So I came up with my own simple way to apply what I had read, by writing it down on an index card, and picking an item to focus on each day. This way I felt I could easily focus on just one practical item. This app replaces my index card but can also be your index card as well :)
